KUOW Puget Sound Public Radio App Reviews

App works ok on ipad, but takes long time to load. Cuts out occasionally. Too many ads- (public radio?)... Best part is the weekend oldies music, and easy access to news stories. Everytime it cuts out or starts the app have to sit thru long adverts annoying.

Please make Swing Years available on this app! On the NPR app, I could set KUOW as my favorite affiliate and choose between KUOW, KUOW2, and the Swing Years--which played the most recent session on loop. Those streaming links are all broken, and this app does not offer it.

You need really tiny fingers to navigate the play, choose stream, and air play buttons.

Please fix your streaming. I only use this app to stream, and even with great wifi this app has issues. The ads play consistently, but the content will stop playing, repeat itself, or not load to start with.

Sometimes it plays beautifully, but the streaming cuts out at other times and has to be restarted. Usually it dies and has to be restarted at least once every time I use it.

Streaming issues definitely - it pauses & sometimes restarts on its own, sometimes not & you must unlock your phone again (& again). But that said, I love that theres an app & listen every day!

The app works fantastically. However it does crash sometimes but I get the feeling that is more my internet than the app.

Love that I can stream from the app but the repetitive stuttering is really really annoying! Wish you would fix it.

I basically like The app… I especially love that the schedule is right on the homepage unlike KPLUs! The buffering leaves a little to be desired though.

The regular NPR app doesnt let you play KUOW, so I had to download this app. Ugh. Very poor experience all around. Frequent, annoying mini repeats of the reciting or stream, causing an odd deja vu experience. It takes a long time to load, and doesnt offer the timer/sleep functionality of podcasts. Im very disappointed and hope youll fix this soon.

Please fix the constant repeating on streaming.

Love being able to listen to KUOW while Im away from home. The downside of the app is that it does not go to the lowest power setting. There is no screen power saver. The screen stays on and drains my battery.

I think the app is been improved in the past few months. Occasionally it does still stutter or pause but its usually just a quick burp and then back to programming. Im vacationing in France right now and listening to the app with no problem at all. Cant beat that!

This app is terribly poor at streaming. Lots of time you will just get the ad and no content, or the stream just stops. The idea is great, but execution weak.

I have been a huge fan of Public Radio all my life. This app does an excellent job of keeping me connected to my local Public Radio station!

Not having any problems. Love the ability to listen to stream 1 or 2.

Happy to have KUOW with me in a hotel room far from the broadcast area.

I wish we could back to the old app; its like this one has too many bells and whistles. Its slow to start and then it repeats itself. Love KUOW, but hate this app!
